Annex K is a call acceleration technique in 3G-324M. It is also known as MONA (Media Oriented Negotiation Acceleration).

It is a set of 3 different techniques for call acceleration which are designed to reduce call setup times to below 1 second.

Annex K is designed as a set of 3 classes, each using a subset of at least 2 of the techniques. In order to be MONA-compliant, handsets need to implement one of these classes.

If you want to learn more about H.324M Annex K, you can read a whitepaper on call acceleration in 3G-324M.

RADVISION's 3G-324M protocol stack provides support for standardized call setup time reduction techniques including MONA.
